The fields at Millenium Park in Canmore are premium natural grass fields. We currently have one full sized multi-use field (soccer/baseball/football etc.) booked and 1 baseball diamond.
This booking will easily accomodate an 8 team tournament.
Shuttle busses are available to and from Calgary and the Calgary Airport. The town also has taxis and a transit network. Depending on where you stay you may also be able to walk to and from the fields, bars, and restaurants.
However, there are lots of other things to do and see in the region and the freedom of having your own transportation would be well warranted if you plan to do anything other than playing ultimate while in the area.
Canmore is a wonderful place to visit and there are countless opportunities to do other things before or after the tournament. Hiking, Camping, Sight Seeing, and so much more. Canmore is also home to many great bars and restaurants and we are confident you will find plenty to do while in town.
Canmore has a wide variety of hotels, condos, and other guest accomodations available that are only a short drive (or maybe even a walk) to the fields. Expedia and VRBO are great sites to book your accomodations in the town.
Please note that Canmore is an extremely popular tourist destination in the summer months and so accomodations should be booked as early as possible.
You may also consider looking for places in the nearby communities of Dead Man’s Flats, Exshaw, Harvie Heights, or even in the town of Banff in Banff National Park. These are all within a 10-20 minute drive from Canmore.
In the worst case scenario you could also stay in Cochrane or Calgary, which would be a 45-60 minute drive…
Wapooti used to be an annual tournament that was traditionally hosted in Canmore. Canmore is a beautiful location to visit and to play ultimate and we are simply sticking with tradition by hosting the tournament there.
