In the summer months, visitors can explore the area’s stunning wilderness on foot, with numerous hiking trails available in the surrounding mountains. The Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park is a popular spot for hiking, with trails ranging from easy to challenging, and offering stunning views of the surrounding peaks.

Mountain biking is another popular summer activity in Canmore, with numerous trails to choose from, ranging from beginner to expert level. The Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park is also a hub for mountain biking, with over 100 kilometers of trails.

For those looking for more adventurous activities, rock climbing and the via ferrata at Mount Norquay in Banff are popular options in the area. Canmore is home to many experienced climbing guides and outfitters who can take visitors on guided climbs of the local peaks, or teach them the basics of rock climbing.

Millenium Fields in Canmore

We have booked the sports fields at Millennium Field in Canmore. This is a very well-maintained park located in the heart of the town that can easily accommodate an 8 team ultimate tournament.

The fields at Millenium Park are premium natural grass fields. We currently have one full sized multi-use field (soccer/baseball/football etc.) booked and 1 baseball diamond.

In addition to the sports facilities, Millennium Field has several amenities that make it a great place to spend the day, including a mountain bike skills park which is great fun for the family if they are joining you for the weekend.

There are picnic tables and benches throughout the park, as well as public restrooms. The field is also equipped with water fountains and a concession stand during the summer months.

We have a field booking for August 12-13, 2023 but also have the potential to move it to August 19-20, 2023 if teams are more interested in that date.

We are looking for expressions of interest for teams that want to play in the tournament and we also want to know which of the two dates are preferrable.

Note that the August 12-13th weekend partially conflicts with Junior Canadian Ultimate Championships and the August 19-20th weekend is the same weekend as the Senior Canadian Ultimate Championships, so keep that in mind.

We will hold the current field booking for now (August 12-13th), but could change if there is enough interest soon enough. Having said that, the fields may not be available on the August 19-20th weekend if we delay this decision for too long.
